The Amateur s a VSGA points event which is a testament to the quality and conditioning of the courses as well as the distinctive service and hospitality participants enjoy. This annual event is open to all male golfers with a valid USGA handicap.
Flights will be determined by handicap index.

The two-day event consists of two rounds of stroke play, one on our Arnold Palmer Signature Course
and one on our Jack Nicklaus Signature Course.

The tournament Chairman is Bay Creek member and lifelong Eastern Shore resident Joe Restein. Joe is an accomplished amateur who plays in many tournaments around the world. He is the driving force behind the Bay Creek Amateur and it is his passion and attention to details that make the event so enjoyable to play in. Said Joe Burbee, "With his many experiences playing in high caliber tournaments, Mr. Restein makes sure the participants are treated right and that the courses are set up in a fair but challenging way. Everyone that played last year said they had a great time and it was one of the best events they ever played in. I think Jack himself would love it!"

Open to male golfers of all ages. Participants must have a VSGA or USGA handicap
index and must comply with USGA Rules of Amateur Status.

Thirty-Six Holes of Individual Stroke Play Competition. All play will be on the Arnold Palmer Signature Course and the Jack Nicklaus

Awards are based on the size of the field and the number of flights. The purse will be approximately $7,000 based on a field of 100 players.

The entry fee is $185 per player covering two rounds of tournament play, practice balls, and a hearty lunch both days at our Coach House Tavern.

There is an optional practice round available anytime prior to the event for registered participants, $30/round.

Families Warmly Invited. Bay Creek offers a variety of fully-furnished resort vacation homes to spend the weekend in comfort. Most conveniently located to the Golf clubhouse are the Fairways Village Golf Condominiums. Each condominium has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, with large living areas, full kitchens, private patios or balconies, garages, and access to the Fairways private pool.
